Whether someone sits at your desk overnight or the calls come to your cell, a call nobody answered is a booking that may have gone elsewhere. This page prices that from your numbers and nothing else.
In short
No industry source publishes a missed-call rate or a revenue-per-missed-call figure for independent motels, so this calculator has no number to hand you. It asks for your missed calls, your nightly rate, and how many of those callers were trying to book, then shows the multiplication on screen. The one default it offers is a phone close rate, set to a vendor benchmark and labeled as such.
What you know
Count them from your phone bill, your voicemail, or your carrier's call log. Rough is fine, but it has to be yours.
Your own number. For orientation only: the STR economy chain-scale ADR band, cited secondhand rather than from STR's own publication. puts the economy band at $55 to $81.
Default 1. Change it if your guests stay longer.
Nobody publishes this for motels, so we will not guess it for you. Your best estimate from the voicemails you do get.

Default 45%: Invoca 2025, 60 million-plus hotel calls. Vendor data from a chain-heavy sample: a benchmark, not a fact about motels. Change it if you know yours.
